A Widnes Fans Prediction...

For me its one wakey should win.It will be an interesting start to the season, remember HKR.Not able to get to the game ,down in Essex working hope i can find a pub showing the game.

1st game in SL, home crowd, Sky cameras, playing for a team and in a ground sponsored by the Competions new sponsor and the game is set for a Widnes win.

We just have to hold them for 15/20 mins and let the adrenalin and Widnes crowd noise diminish and take our chances which will come. 8 - 10 point Wildcat win.

After beating Cas so convincingly, all be it in a friendly, I cant see us going away without 2 points this weekend. I don't particularly rate Widnes' signings, they look to have built an acceptable bottom 4 team, so I think maybe:

Very, very difficult to predict what will happen here.

Would be disappointed but not shocked to see Widnes beat us.

If I had to guess I would say Wakey to win by single figures but that is more heart than head leading me to that conclusion.


Quite frankly, I'm just looking forward to seeing the season begin and having some games to watch that actually mean something.

All I can say is lump on with the 2 start we have at the bookies , pinching money as is catalans at bulls off level.

I doubt Widnes will win, there signings arent that good but together they could do well how did there opening friendlies go?

Hard to predict the first few games of the season especially with new squads. Need to see how teams develop and form being established.

i predict a good away following, a cold evening and a win by 14 points for trinity. plenty of chemical smells on the way in to widnes, and some over zealous officiating in certain unknown areas - whichever side settles down and deals with what's being stamped on the better will gain an advantage.

widnes will fight and fight hard, if we get a 12 point lead we should have enough in the tank. will be interesting to see the relative fitness of the two squads.
