| With an unprecedented amount of new faces in the squad who do fans think will be our best signing?
My vote is Dean Collis, if he stays fit he will be our version of Gidley and for the money we will be paying he will pound for pound be the best value.
On the flip side who do you think we will regret letting go the most?
I think it could turn out to be Ben Gledhill who if given the correct conditioning could become a very effective ball carrier and offloaded for Salford.

| Agree totally Collis will be good as will John as long both stay injury free. I also agree about Gledhill too. He is getting bigger already

| Hard to say, without ever having seen many of them.
Cockayne should add a lot of value to the squad and from what i saw of Mellars he looks another who could give us value.
Isaac John, will have a lot of pressure on him so I hope he has an experienced half with him, they (whoever the other is) should be the ones that really get us going.
Also looking forward to seeing Ali coming off the bench and smashing it up if he stays fit.
I think the players who we have let go won't be massively missed although Korki and Blaymire may be seen to have been more than many realised?

| With the departure of Murphy, signing Collis may prove to be a masterstroke. Also think Southern will be a big player for us. Will miss Murphy but right now with our lack of strength in the front row letting Gledhill go could come back to haunt us. That said if we sign Dowes and James then we might not notice as much.

| Reading other posts I can't actually wait for the new season, big Ali out wide with collis in support. Southern smashing the bones out of the opposition, John hopefully being a class act. Exciting times an well done wtw. Can honestly say this is the most excited I have been for a long time coming up to a new season

| Lucas Walshaw for me. Would have been gutted if Hudds had managed to nick him. That fat ginner who looks after the youth set up at Hudds jus keeps throwing Kens money at other clubs promising youngsters. So I was chuffed when Walshaw said ` NO fat ginner you can take your ill gotten gains and shove em where the sun dont shine, I admire your chairmans ability to create wealth but your attitude of knowing the cost of everything and the value of nothing stinks `
Anyway I think that if Agar gives Walshaw a chance then it will be Mellers and Collis who are fighting for the second centre berth.

Don't get premature on us! ...I think Big Ali is getting me excited the most but as time passes I'm starting to like the idea of Cockayne down at BV, it's been a while since we had a live wire like Latu or Obst causing a bit of confusion in defences.

I think Mellars could make a very useful Pat Richards style winger.

| Given the season ahead, where we need to develop a new culture of being tough to beat, I think Southern could be huge for us; he's as hard as nails and will smash people to bits in defence.
I also think that Collis could be a big hit - I don't know a lot about the lad, but people I respect have said very good things about him.
Not really new signings, but I'm personally excited to see Mariano and Johnson playing with quality around them - they were both great finds in a torrid season and I'd like to see what they can do on the front foot; Mariano in particular could have a monster season in attack.
Finally, I'm hoping that Mr Agar oversees Walshaw's development with some care and attention - I watched him a bit last season and he appears to have all the tools to become a great player.
As for who we'll miss most - I would have liked to have seen Gledhill develop under a conditioning regime that could have made him bigger and stronger; I fear he may come back to haunt us when he runs out for Salford with another stone of muscle on him and a big point to prove.

latu was a terrible player. confused the hell out of himself and his team mates. another obst (or obst) i could take, but another maverick ill disciplined fool that hits first and thinks later i think we could live without.
