Then I spoke to another old wakey favorite who told me jimmy ellston hadn't even spoke to korki just said to a third party he wasn't wanted. Myself I think he is worth another year or atlases let Richard agare chooses his own team, in any case surely a player that has spent I think 7 years at the club and to my recording around 170 games for wakey including getting to the playoff with shane McNally to earning meters made to when jk arrived player that also played in the million pound game that kept us in sl through some dark days and some good days one thing that can be said about the guy he is 100% wakey through and through and must deserve a hand shake or a thanks from the club or a mention on the website or if he dose play Friday a mention on the tanoy give the fans that want to a chance to say thank you korki don't think he deserves the Ben gledhill treatment shoved out the backdoor. Me pesonaly I think he is a far better player than the ones we are talking to fozzard and although I wont mention any names some front rower at the club at the moment if he is going to be let go I would just like to say thank you korki and all the best for the future .

He always try's his best, but I think we need to be looking at more quality in the front row now if the club is to move forward. There's no doubt about his effort in a wakey shirt, but the skill levels have never really been up to what's required from a prop these days. Your right he needs to be thanked properly for his services to WTW.

We don't know how many of the 6 prospective candidates would keep Korki but if the new coach will be aiming at getting players from our academy into the first team he isn't going to be too sentimental about the 'Play off drive'.

If there is no room for Kingy then Korki doesn't have a chance.

Agreed. I find the rumours of JE not meeting with players to let them know if they've got a contract or not worrying. It's not how we should be conducting ourselves as a professional business. If the players not in the plans fine - but have the decency to sit them down and treat them fairly. We don't need more ex-players negative views of WTW.

to be fair to mr elston. he's been running round like a blue d fly sorting out the celebrate wakefield event, which may generate a measly £8k of revenue, oh and interviewing way too many candidates for the head coach job.

the £8k revenue is not to be sniffed at, but should serve as a reminder to those that think we're now owned and run by somebody with the wealth of an arab oil state.

It doesn't take long to say "sorry you're not in our plans for next year, but thanks for your service and good luck in securing a new deal at another club." Just basic professionalism.

I agree, Korki, as any other employee / player, deserves to be treated with respect by the club. Let's hope JE does the right thing by ALL players cos if he doesn't it'll all come back and bite him on the bum and us too. It's one reason perhaps we lose our way half way through the season, poor man management.

Then the deal for the incoming player falls through and you go back to him and say we now want you - what sort of reaction will that get.
Until you know for sure you do not need them you cannot say they are free to go, added to that Korki is a Shudds player is he not - can contact be made without permission?

Korky has been a good servant to us but its time to move on if replacements can be found who are of better quality. He's always been a trier but gets put on his back to easily and gives away too many penalties to ever be classed as a top class prop. Though if the the replacement is Nick Fozzard then i'd rather keep Korkidas to be honest. But it is right to say that things should be carried out in the correct manner. I have no doubt JE is a busy man but these things matter. Maybe he needs a bit more help alongside him to spread the load.

Personally I think you need to have the courage of your convictions and if you believe he's not good enough then you have to follow through. All the cloak and dagger stuff creates and atmosphere of mistrust.
