Oh i agree, just like Ali? but thats different it seems.
MT has brought a lot to the club behind the scenes and with the juniors and when he's played he's been very good, he also ran out in the nines/reserves so to quote his playing and to get it wrongs a bit cheap. |

If we signed Ali Lauatiti he would be a lead player who could develop the players coming through
Motu Tony being a squad player stops the development as he is behind the lead player and blocking the progress limited game time gives the youngsters.
It's not terrible as we do indeed need squad players but not great either. |

My view too. The club shouldn't be signing imports as squad players. |

Tony is off-quota, pretty versatile and I'll wager he's cheap, so represents a decent signing as a squad player.
Let's not get delusions of grandeur folks - every team needs a few make-weights.
