Agents will be a bigger threat to our club than the RL. We know that the RL will decide on us or Cas for a SL place based on pre set criteria and Savills report. Most of us are prepared for life in the Championship.

Agents on the other hand have no love for RL, Wakefield or their clients, they are commercial animals who will and are using our situation to drive players away from the club, spinning bile and lies to their clients in order to get them to move to a new club.

We all know the majority of agents are leeches and often engineer moves for the clients so that they can take a cut but that is the way of the modern game unfortunately.

Well Andrew Glover was quick to ban the Richardsons from Belle Vue and I am sure he knows who the biggest parasite is. I hope he has the balls to ban him too.

Agents appear to be a problem in both Football and RL. As a solution I wonder if it would be possible to have a number of agents working for the governing body who deal with player movements. They would be paid centrally so would have no ulterior motive for moving their client along. When a player wishes to make a move/find a club they then contact said agents and they then punt their client around.

Perhaps this is a naïve and rather simplistic scheme and it probably contravenes EU law in some way, but agents unsettling players who ordinarily would have been happy to stay is an issue and needs resolving. I’m sure Trinity have benefited (Gareth Moore?) from being on the other side of the coin but it still doesn’t alter my view.

That is a very good idea that the agents work for the governing body rather than for the players. I have always thought that agents are a pain in the backside and a bit pointless. I don't need one when signing a job contract so why should a rugby league player?

I think it was Paul Scholes who never had an agent and used the PFA for contract negotiations with Manchester United. Is there still a rugby league equivalent?

Players without high levels of education or common sense may have their heads turned too easily by agents, a strong union should advise and aid their members without the need for them.

Jimmy Bullard doesn't have an agent and does all his own negotiations.

Its money being lost to the game into the hands of parasites who add nothing to the long term future of RL.

I said this years ago and got blown out of the water. I called a certain agent MS a parasite and was told he was a good bloke and cared for Trinity. I was told that by Ted. He was wrong. Once they get a sniff of the easy money greed takes over. They then get in the heads of players and their families who are easily manipulated. They create a crisis in the players mind that wouldn't have been there simply to create another pay day. They care about no one but themselves, they are sports equivalent to ambulance chasing lawyers.

There was a need many years ago for independent advise for players and still is but it's been taken over by those who exploit players, clubs and fans alike.
