| British players last night. One Frenchman and two Aussies. Best rugby we've played in ages too!

Can only be good for us. And you're spot on it was the best rugby for a long time.
Well done boys.

| Yup, been a long time since we got anywhere near that! Would be fantastic if we could limit the imports to maybe 1 witha bit of class, then with BJ in we would still have a really good number in the side.

| During the off season I put a team up on here minus the majority of the imports against one which contained them all. At the time I said I felt the team with only four imports in wouldn't do much worse than the one which was overflowing with them. So it was great to see the line up last night and the result. By the sounds of it the performance was there too.
I hope with the available space on the non-fed registered the club don't go back to recruiting any old Aussie just for the sake of it and gives these lads a chance.

Very true we have an excellent opportunity to back up our young and British policy.

| I agree KK. I don't actually think it is a good thing to buy likes of Tahu at the moment. Good as he is.
I think we need more personel but nobody who is just here for the money. I'd rather get a good scrum half, aussie if needed and some weight in the pack and see how we go.
We should be looking for a Dobson type who is below the radar but who knows how to run an attacking minded team.

| Great to see a mostly young and british team with such a great spirit and playing some decent rugby, looking forward to next Sunday's game even more now.

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.: |
|
| We have the nucleus of a good young British squad. About time too.
That said we really need a big, experienced prop and a creative half with a kicking game to get us round the park.
Murphy to FB, Mariano to and Tommy Lee to hooker, plus the above and we're not that far away IMHO.

| Tahu could be a marquee signing, but is he what we need right now? Could we capture the imaginaton of the wider public with a genuine 'young & British' policy, or does that only work for purists?
Personally, I'd rather see Smith released and a decent British prop & SH coming in.

| There`s a young lad at Wests Tigers, Ben Murdoch-Masila, who is widely tipped to do great things in the game, he made his debut in the play-off Sem-Finals last season. 20 years old, 188cm & 105 kg. Can play prop or 2nd row and is reported as being "explosive & pacy". I can`t see him getting much, if any, 1st team action this season & we might just tempt him with the prospect of regular 1st team Rugby. Can somebody get Gaz Ellis to put a good word in?

I've always stood up for the Aussie involvement for many reasons but the above is great to see. Just hope the big boys don't come sniffing!

| The key with any signings we make now is that we get experienced blokes in. As good as it is to see a young exciting side full of Brits, we do need one of two older blokes to guide those youngsters

I agree, we need some old heads in there to pass on experience to youngsters in the squad maybe only one or two but i feel the experience can be invaluable.

Isn't it 14 Brits, a Frenchman, a Scot and a Greek?
