Well, the worst has happened and it looks like the work starts again in the New Year.

The only conciliatory words I have is that is highly likely that the Public Inquiry will go in Yorkcourt's favour, as 75% do, and I anticipate this will be no different.

The NIMBY's have won this battle but I still think they will lose the WAR... pun intended!

I think so, I think the inquiry will move quite quickly but not before the applications, which leaves things very open ended for a franchise application!

My view as well TURFED OUT - after watching Wakefield since 1960 I am absolutely gutted. What is the point of this coming season when the franchise decision is now cut and dried. Despondent!!

I can sort of see where you are coming from and if the time frame was not against Wakefield, then the impact would only be a delay! As it is, it could mean the death of the Community Stadium scheme and all the NIMBY's will end up with is industrial units and the City loses out in sports facilities... simple as!

Will the PI go the way of Yorkcourt, almost certainly, but will the stadium and community sports facilities survive... I really do not know the answer!
