Cardiff as a season opener in February on the 12th and 13th. What's everyone views, opinions and who will be attending/not attending and why?

Regrettably I am unlikely to attend and not through choice. Mid-month tends to be when I travel with work. The prior opening bank holiday weekend of May was easier for me hence I was able to make the last three. I've really enjoyed these events so to miss out now is a great shame .

Personally I think it’s a great move. It’s far better then the drip feed start to SL season witnessed for the past two/three seasons.

Definitely going. Prefer Cardif to Edinburgh but would have liked to give somewhere like Dublin a try.

Prefer Cardiff to Edinburgh, so pleased about that. A bit concerned about sitting through 4 games in February, it was bad enough in May. Will the closed roof mean that it be warm enough inside the ground to just wear your club shirt and remove your coat?

I'm undecided, it's obviously a great way to start the season and may well provide the media attention the sport deserves. Whilst the quality of games may not be as good, the scoreline's should be alot closer.

I can't see the attendance increasing, mainly because there is no bank holiday and also because it's in February. Will the attendance over the two days be higher than clubs would have had on the opening weekend? Probably not.

Bloody rip off merchants in Cardiff.

Went down for the 2005 CC. Pretty much every cafe or food shop was a joke. All their price boards were covered over and they just had one big sign 'All sandwiches £3.00' or 'All pies £3.50' etc. I bet if you'd have gone in the same shops on a Monday morning they'd have been half the price.

Prefer Cardiff to Edinburgh. Won't be doing too close to Christmas and not the kind of weather to wander round Cardiff. Its a definite no.

Booked a hotel for Saturday night. Just need someone to go with now.

I've saved a pound for every time over the last thirty odd years I've come home from a Wakefield game and said "Right, That's it. I'm not going anymore". I now have enough to cover my hotel and transport costs and make a substantial contribution to the building of the new stadium.

Did not go to Cardiff in the past and it sounded quiet good. I went to Edinburgh once and will not return so a probable is better than a no chance.

Has it gone back derby games again?
