| As this subject is cropping up more and more it will be interesting to see exactly how many want JK to go.

No point him going now. Still believe there is no one better placed to coach this club and any improvement in form would only be short term.
As a club I hope Trinity have left short term thinking back when relegation was abolished.

| I agree. Kear to stay for me.
Just interested to see how many of the Trin faithful actually want him to go.

Exactly. The only benefit I could see would possibly be a short term bounce. since their isno relegation this is of little use and the club should be looking medium to long term. We have been on an upward trend ever since he arrived. The rugby is currently dire but we've had it worse. I believe with a close season to regroup we will be ok next year. Keep the faith for me and just ride out this particularly mind numbing phase

| No point in sacking him with the season nearly over, have we got just 7 fixtures left.I think we have a better chance of pulling things round with John as coach than with a new coach.

| What is wrong ? Is it the coach, the team or the club itself ? Something is not right , but this is just another chapter in the sorry story of Wakefield Trinity.

| John to stay for me. The club however, do need to make sure he has more funds for next seasons recruiting. He has done wonders on a shoe string, now is the time to make his and our lives easier by enabling him to buy better players.

| Personally I think the end of the road is nigh for Kear, he has done a cracking job overall and becuase of him we are still here. That said, I don't think the great escape buys you immunity for ever and we have repaid our debt to him, it works both ways too (Catalans job for example).
Me, I would like to see us go down the route of Wigan and Huddersfield, and try recruit an assistant from the NRL who is looking for a break - fair enough there may not be any suitable candidates who would come at the moment (only take a passing interest in the NRL so no idea who) but its clear from watching their game on a Saturday it is light years above and we need somebody with experience of the latest coaching techniques to make sure we keep progressing as a club - look at what McQuire has done at Wigan with basically the same side as last year. Failing this should we need a replacement any quicker than such person can be brought in I would look at Ian Milward - proven track record (and his sides generally play entertaining stuff, should at least help getting a bit of interest back for many).
Kear has been good for us, but nothing lasts for ever and we need a change before we start to stagnate.
Assuming we have to pay Kear off for the remainder of his contract to get rid though, can't see anything changing soon so I suppose we better all keep our fingers crossed and hope he can do his "up for it" routine for the next 2 games to keep our ever diminishing top 8 hopes alive.

| Go, I'm afraid to say. I don't think we are capable of climbing out of the hole we are currently in and I would like to see us try to do something different. It's not just the defeats but the manner and magnitude of them which is so demoralising. Even if we continued to lose but played more entertaining RL, I would be happier. Although the fact the club is broke and the matter of JK's compensation will mean we have to make the best out of what we have.

| He should resign before the current squad ruins his coaching options for good, the players are making a mockery of him and what he has done at the club until 14 games ago.

| Look at the whole picture. We made fine signings to start the new season. This is taken away from us. We struggle with, lets be honest, inadequate replacements (but the only players that were available.)
John Kear is not just our coach. He does give us great awareness in the media (Sky, BBC etc.) How many of our other coaches have made it on TV, radio etc covering games.
We also need him for our Super League franchise.
Right, chew on this. I'm almost certain that with John in charge, we have a greater chance of a Super League life than without him.
On the field it's awful at the minute. I have every sympathy for paying fans. Do we see the season out? Yes. Will there be playing staff changes for next season. Sure. Will there be a new coach in charge? Not sure. Do we get rid now? No.
