Pal of mine was talking to Broughy last week and was asked about his recent move...his reply was that he regarded Kear as his second Dad, he was happy at Wakey and happy to stay the problems were Huddersfields contract offer blew him and wakey's offer out of the water. The length of Wakefields contract was also an issue as our great leader Mr Richardson was very worried about us getting in the next round of applications and the length of contract reflected that.In relation to his debts he claimed it was all nonsense about gambling and it was buisiness ventures that had gone wrong.

In relation to Tronc allegedly when we offered him a contract we offered him a house in the sticks for him and his family and a new car...when he got here he got here he got one of Teds flats and shall we say a not so new car...when his misses came over, coming from the sub tropics of North Queensland she was as you could imagine non plussed and wanted out !!! and allegedly when he mentioned this to the club and we were not too happy with him and he left very much under a cloud and not as we all imagined.

I applaud Ted, the crowds are down and we must be running a very close budget.. better crowds last year and we still were in the red with the tax man at the end. Its obvious the RFL are itching to ditch at least one SL side when the franchises come along and they have never been our biggest fans.
