| last week at saints when cunningham went over davey to score i saw jd walking away shaking his head. tonight i saw jd shouting and carrying on from the first 10 mins . is it time for a rest maybe? is age catching up?
i don't see much encouragement from the captain whereas brough, bj and morrison are very supportive to the younger one's.
shoot me down but it is only a thought.

| I have just logged on and seen the score news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 545360.stm
www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague ... uotes.html
"After the first 30 seconds you could sense something was not right. Our energy levels looked down.
"It came out of the blue. It was very disappointing, very inept. Perhaps the players believed their own publicity a little too much.
"Huddersfield were very slick, very focused and very intense - everything we didn't do they did, and they did it very well."

Think Brough was the invisible man BJ to be fair took a knock early on and was a passenger
JD is a centre who is too old and too slow to play centre and has moved into the pack where he just can’t cut it at SL level a great servant to Trinity but time to move on Jason a phone call to the March twins would be about right

Brough seemed to have a right go at Morton after nearly every try. Noticed he didn't have a go at Moore when his lost ball led to a try!

Thought i would give this thread a miss but can't help myself, i have seen this a few times from Broughy this season to be fair to him but overall your having a a laugh mate.
Sometimes players need a telling off, if they have the players respect then its not a problem.

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.: |
|
| JD doesn't look fit to me. Not sure if he's still finding fitness after the off season or struggling to get going but he doesn't seem the same thus far.
Re the Captain situation JD's never really been much of a talker. He leads more by example, but that said I was very disappointed to see him walking aroung with his head down when he should have been gathering the troops.
I have trust and faith that JD will come good but at the moment something doesn't quite seem right with the lad.

I've been very strong at times with my criticism of JD, but I have never accused him of giving everything in him on the pitch. He's been a great servant to the club and will live long in our memories once he hangs up his boots.
BUT....
His attitude on the pitch as captain is a lot different. The shouting behind the sticks against the Giants is something that could have been useful in countless games over the last couple of seasons - but one of the few (if not the only) times he does it is when we're in the middle of such a shocking performance when the game has already been lost. WHAT'S THE POINT IN THAT???!!!
IMHO he's only getting his place in the 17 because JK says he'll be captain for however long they're both at Trinity. JD does add great value as a squad player to provide back up to a first choice 17 - he just isn't the player he was & shouldn't be the first name on the team sheet any longer if the whole squad is fully fit.
I said it before the season started & I'll say it again now - Tesco should be captain & the first choice back 3 should be Tesco, Fergy & Johnson. Hendo has been putting in some great performances so far this year and he can fill the bench with 2 props (that's TWO PROPS Mr Kear!!!) and a hooker/half-back. JD comes into the reckoning when we have injuries to the back row, but ONLY when we injuries.

| Cant go along with the theory that JD is past it. Every player bar none had a pityful performance (bar Richard Moore). JD is a quality player.
