My main RL gripe at the moment has got to be why Widnes feel it's their god given right to be in SL?

Maybe it's because I live in Cumbria now, but I'm pretty sick of Widnes being mentioned as the only serious candidates for promotion.

IF the Crusaders go belly up i think we owe a look at investing in one of our undervalued heartlands i.e Cumbria. While Barrow may not be ready for now, they do have serious money behind them and an owner with desire for the big time. Yes the ground will never in 100 years come up to scratch but if plans for a new one get bankrolled i can see SL coming knocking in a few years.

Like i said Barrow may not be the finished article for promotion yet, but not 1 honest Chemic could deny they are miles ahead on the playing front.... where some say it matters more. At least in the Championship anyway!

Because they, along with Leigh it feels like at times, feel 'their' spot was stolen by the Crusaders. This is despite Widnes had inly just gone through major financial trauma and Leigh had, erm, not done much other than be moving into a new ground. In fact, Halifax when skint apart, has there been a more pathetic attempt at competing in SL than Leigh's one season?

Crusaders did not steal 'their' place, anyone with a clue would realise it would be between Widnes, Leigh and Salford. That, and the 14 teams which got in must have scored higher over all the criteria judged, not just the ones being picked and chosen by supporters of those clubs.

(Cue the Widnes/Leigh fans)
