Snitch. When we signed Snitch I was not at all sure, thought he wasn't good enough.

Latu. He used to be an expensive luxury who ran around like a headless chicken, giving away countless penalties, getting in to bother on field and off.

Obst. I thought it was time for him to move on as I felt to progress we needed someone better.

I'm eating a slice of humble pie at the moment because whilst I did not think we would finish botton as some of the pundits predicted I thought we would finish around 9th/10th.

To finish 5th with probably the lowest wage bill in SL is absolutely fantastic and says a great deal for John Kear and the spirit he has developed in the players who themselves deserve a great deal of credit and praise.

Whatever happens in the play offs I'm proud of them all and this humble pie tastes teriffic and with the signings we have made for next season and the news of the ground I've never looked forward to the futute as much as I am now.

and atkins for me..even though he still can't pass, the 2 last night were v. poor. made up for in effort and defence though !

Finished fifth with few stars, no money, no wingers, no stand off and never a settled half back pairing. Awesome.

On Atkins though, when JD runs as a centre, he is always looking to do something with the ball. When Atkins runs as a centre, he just doesn't look. I'm not sure you can train someone to do something that isn't instinctive.

Defo agree with Jason's 3. Even after his World Cup showing, which I thought only confirmed many of the concerns around errors and mindless actions, I would not have been bothered if Latu had have hitch kicked off the scene. He has however carved out a valuable role in the squad based on straight running and ferocious tackling. Perhaps maturity is leading to continued improvement so next season should be even better.

Sam hit a low point but has bounced back quite incredibly.

I would also add in Korkidas. I was completely underwhelmed upon learning of his return although appreciated it was part of a bigger picture. I know feel his arrival brought both cohesion and a bit more steel to the forwards which has played a big part in our end of season run.

sorry , no humble pie for mr b. always thught we would do well this season didn't need to be a sl coach to know obst is an outstanding player. said at the beginning of the season that we would make the 8. always thought korki would do ok when he came back and would go as far as to say , next season bj will be outstanding. can't wait.

Totally agree with you on that. Just watch BJ and Brough next season behind a good pack.
