Shocking it was today, Ben Thaler penalised three times on trot in the first half for holding down but no sinbinning which would have changed the game..
We really tired at the end due to this tactic just couldnt get going.

poor excuse we were not good enough didnt play football scored all our points from wigan mistakes i agree he should have sent someone to the bin but on the day wigan were far the better team

No I'm afraid today was one game too many for us. Wigan looked by far the better team and we looked flat and tired.

The game today was an indication of the effect of the sallary cap, 2 very average teams playing a low quality game.

You had enough chances and your defence was poor at times. Penalty count was probably about 15-3 in your favour aswell.

Get a grip! The ref was particularly poor and the touch judges were too! Both teams were offside at many play the balls, both teams were holding down in the tackle and despite the crowd shouting at every Wigan pass, Wakey had their fair share of forward passes!

I'd say it was more down to the demands the game puts on the players nowadays, a game too far for us IMO.

Time for a freshen up next week for me..

Thaler is never a ref that goes overboard on the penalties when i've watched him and i was suprised at times he gave so many.

As for the game overall i wasn't confident at all going into it but thought in the end the scoreline flattered you. We handed 2 trys on a plate to you guys in the first half to keep you in it and unbelievably didn't get the kick away on the last at the start of the 2nd to give you possesion to get the lead. Without those schoolboy errors the game would have been over by halftime.

A poor day at the office for you by the looks of it but you'll be back. I'd still fancy you to beat us in the cup game.

did not go to game so can only quote 2 different commentators who in a round about way suggest that me Nobel should stop throwing stones (Huddersfield) and that wigan spoiled the game . only going by an independent expert though so i guess it must be wrong

no mutley they were bad, however we were never square or onside! the forward pass rule for both sides was ignored, and head high tackles were allowed for today.

dont think it changed the result either way, as john kear said after game it was a "weird game"

no not saying we were robbed or owt it just seemed weird that Mr Nobel should cry about the way another team plays and then employ the tactics to his own team.
