www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/w ... 5345031.jp

So with rooney ooc at the end of the season will this give grix the chance to hold down the "6" spot next year.

Or would people prefer to see him at fb, personally im very happy with blaymire.

Well to stay he's going to have to start to b!oody play!
As regards to where he can't push blaymire out of a place? Im also not too sure if he's a stand off. Bulk up for the back row icon_confused.gif: icon_confused.gif:

I hope he stays, he may not be the best but IMO he's honest on the field, some will say we should be aiming higher but we don't have the money do we.

Only the club knows if he's value for money. IMO I think he is, and hope he stays, gives us options.

I don't know if anyone thinks the same as i but Grix looks to have bulked a fair bit since coming to us. I don't see him as a winger or fullback. I think maybe he is being developed as a future loose forward

Needs to get out of this dip in form quick otherwise can't see him getting a contract. The fact that he still doesn't have a position is a worry. I would hope we could do better.

Surely a player that actually wants to stay and loves the club is worth offering something to?

I know he has been poor of late but fingers crossed if he can play in a position he is comfortable with, then he might rediscover some of that early season form.

Somebody mentioned he looks to have bulked up. I've been saying for a good while this season that we should give him a go at loose forward.

If he's willing to play anywhere to help out the team, then thats ok by me.

thing is how many converted pack players can we have? we are already getting bullied in some games because we are a smallish pack. ferg and JD aren't that big so throw grix in the bhack row and that doesn't do it for me.
p.s, never across your own box fella...

I know you got him for bugger all not sure if his deal has been renewed since his first contract, i am sure he will be looking for an improved deal, but does his form warrant it.

You offered him an opportunity to get out of the National Leagues but the risk was reflected in his deal, as was Wilkes, so a new deal if any other club comes in for him could be a fairly tricky one to negotiate, as he has at the very least proven himself Sl quality.

He hasn't settled down in any position yet. Maybe he needs a long run at number 6, which is probably his preferred position. If he is out of contract soon though, maybe he is worried about a contract and so is expressing his devotion to get him brownie points.

Felt a bit sorry for him this season. Was bigged up at the World Cup and since then has just covered for missing players in positions that maybe aren't his favourite.

Think if we could get him into the stand off role and get him some of the world cup form back we could have a pretty decent stand off, as he seems to always put effort in and try his hardest.

maybe you just worded it badly but putting effort in and trying your hardest do not equate to being pretty decent. i accept he has those qualities but i personally have seen nothing to make me think he is going to give us enough playing at stand off. i suppose it could be said he hasn't been given enough game time in that position to prove himself but how long can anyone be given?

they could be given at least 3 to 4 games. grix hasn't had anything like that time to settle in any position. imho.
