Well done to the club for making the right decision, it was obviously time for him to go and time for a change in direction but regardless Chester goes with my best wishes. I still think there is a career in rugby league coaching for him should he really want it, and if he is willing to take a step back, he had a very limited time as an assistant and had to learn some very harsh lessons along the way with Hull KR and us but hey that`s the nature of the job.. Good luck Chris and well done to the board for doing the right thing.

It just had to happen. I thank him for his efforts, there was a period around 2018 when we played some damn good stuff and that should be remembered but his time here had run it's course. I wish him all the best for the future.

I find it very sad but it had to happen, I could see no other option.

It needed to happen, if an extension had been announced I dread to think what the attendances would’ve been like.

I don’t think I had an issue with him finishing the season, it’s the talk of an extension which had blown people’s mind!

Sad day. I'm not sure whether things just got better or worse. Time will tell and depend who the replacement is.

He coached us to our best seasons in Super League. That shouldn't be forgotten.
But sometimes it's time to move on. I wish him well.

Change was needed. We'll never know what went on in the dressing room. Hopefully we can move on now.

His inability to change and learn from his mistakes as done for him. He needs to clear his head out look at his own performance and he might come out a better coach.

i don’t get that comment how can it get worse we never win anyway, I just hope we now we roll our sleeves up and improve, no relegation so poaching as a chance

Good news, I would have sacked him three years ago after the Hull KR away loss. New coach, new ideas, new enthusiasm, new methods, new attitude. Our players have given 100 % and I sure they will all be very keen to impress the new man.

It's not great for anyone to lose their job but, for the sake of the club, something had to change.

Sad to see him to go but you could see on Sunday things were not right . Hope things work out for him nice guy maybe too nice.Just hope Poaching can motavate the players .He was great at it when he was on the field ,A true legend for Wakefield on the pitch
