I seriously believe this is probably 1 of only 3 games this year we could win....... changes that I would have (but wont happen)-they have 1000 injuries.

hall in for finn - at least he can create something seems we have nothing inside opposition 20

tansey in for Gibson

annakin in for Anderson

molloy in for kirmond

No room for Mikael Simon in your team then I Guess. Annakin needs to play, but not as prop surely!

For me Annakin is fighting for Kirmond's place with Molloy, not a prop place.

And I wouldn't drop Anderson, I'd simply add another prop on the bench.
When we played Hull KR last year, we were able to bully them in the forwards at times but their backs could throw the ball around. We need to make sure we use our advantage in the forwards as we haven't got it in the backs to just create something.

4 props and one at 13 for me. Assuming 13 is either Arona or Simon.

A massive game for both clubs and with KR picking up some injuries it's a great opportunity for Trinity to pick up their first "W".

Having said that KR start as strong favourites with Trin getting 14 start on the handicap

I agree although I read that Annakin got injured in the reserves last week..think it was lost in the forwards last week and that's backed up in this ....

www.pontefractandcastlefordexpre ... -1-7735836

With 5 props in the 17...think the team should look something like..

B. Jones-Bishop
B.Tupou
J.Arundel
A.Gibson
R.Lynne
J.Miller
L.Finn
M.Simon
S.Howarth
A.England
M.Ashurst
A.Tupou
T.Arona

Subs..D.Kirmond,S.Anderson,A.Walker (need his strong running from last year..apparently read somewhere that he underwent some additional strength & conditioning work...so should be even better?) ,M.Sio.

Scruton concussed apparently against Cas so can't play..

I'd be tempted to put a 6th prop in the 17 with Yates in place of Kirmond but I just can't see Kirmond getting dropped this week from the 17. Not sure what's happening with him at the moment (despite him claiming it's the best he's felt for 3 years recently) so he may be on the bench this week with the strongest 13 starting to get amongst a depleted KR team early on (hopefully).. icon_razz.gifRAY:

Agree with all that, if we start with that side out we're not gonna get a better chance to beat KR on their own midden.

Despite their poor pre seAson and last weeks result, HKR were good enough to draw with Castleford the week before. They won't be pushovers on their own ground!

They won't as they still have some quality but since then they have lost Mantellato, Allgood, Donaldson & Boubdebza plus Walker has his off-field issues to worry about. If we can't beat them this week we never will.

Agree with trying for more rotation and keeping forwards fresh, however Gibson for me is on a sticky wicket, he was poor against Fev and cas in friendly and was misreading tackles and going walkies leaving Lynne exposed, he really needs to have a blinder,, as at moment his defence is shocking and teams are exposing that side,

I agree. They are no easy beats. However they are more than likely to be one of the teams we need to beat if we are not to be bottom.

Mantellato will be a HUGE miss for them, the guy is quality both as a player and goal kicker.
We need to be up for it and try and dominate them from the off, try and get them feeling sorry for themselves icon_biggrin.gif

I still don't know how they managed to draw with us icon_confused.gif . They just never gave up and kept on coming. Donaldson was by far their best forward but he is injured now. Mantellato will be a big loss too but I thought Pecker was a real handful all match coming out of the back.

Should be a good game and very hard to call so with all their injuries 14 points start looks generous.

None of the tries were Gibsons fault.
