Now that we know what we have all suspected was going to happen has happened in the appointment of Richard Agar lets get behind the man and see how he fares.

Who does he make captain?
Who does he bring in?
Who does he promote?
Who does he get in to condition and assist as part of his set up?
Does he go for a recognised playmaker British or otherwise?

Who does he ditch???

All these could change peoples view of his appointment and see where he is intending to see us next year on what he has as a team and what he can add/bring to the set up.

Interesting times me thinks as signings are still to come and shape the team.

I'd quite like to see Big Frankie developed in a leadership role - if he could coax the same levels of commitment and enthusiasm out of others as he demonstrates himself when he plays the game, he could do ok.

I also think that Bluey Southern might be in with a pop, given his experience at the top level and his reputation for putting it on the line.

Agar's first task is re sign Morrison - that should be his number one priority as it would show that he means buisness and wants to buckle down from day one

If Glenn was going to get a contract he'd have one by now. Who do you think has been advising Elston on comings and goings all along? Don't believe the AG spin on this one, Agar was the number one choice all along. Not Millward, not Gentle but Agar.

You see I've heard and believe that Agar wasn't first choice or even second, the club wanted Gentle but he's gone else where and then Millward was lined up but Cas offered him more cash, so that left Agar. But you believe what you want mate.

To be fair,there was a tweet from a journalist at the Hull Daily Mail quoting James Rule as saying Wakefield did in fact approach Hull FC about the availability of Richard Agar. This enquiry was made a week before the fans forum. The fact we were actively seeking his services does suggest Agar was very much the first choice.

That aside it matters not, Agar has the job, he has money available, and to be honest, even if Les Dawson was in charge next season, I still don't think we would have as bad a year as this.

It would be a good start if he made it public and said " Don't worry Wakefield fans Tommy Lee will not feature in any of my team selections. EVER !! ". Would certainly win me over.
