Must be the worst referee to ever officiate in a super League game . I like seeing Leeds lose but tonight they have been shafted by a referee that should be no where near a rugby pitch .

true, We're shafted more times when not even given a share of televised games and a chance of a video ref

He was God awful tonight. Sending that Grace fumble up to the VR as a try was just unbelievable but there was still enough evidence for Liam Moore to overturn it.
The blind leading the blind.

I put on another thread that Leeds now know what it’s like to be at the wrong end of the table and the type of decisions they can expect.

Stopped watching the game at half time due to the referee ,i like tobwatch 2 teams battle it out not a guy with a whistle deciding who wins, sadly think this is becoming standard practice in RL

Bit harsh on the ref, he has to send it up one way or the other those are the rules, It took Moore long enough to decide he couldn't make his mind up.

That one he was controlled by the rules, even if VR thinks he lost it (as I certainly did) he can't prove it.
The one that got me was the Leeds knock on over the line, he gave that and he was a yard away looking directly at it, in a non TV game that would have stood, with in goal officials near to useless.

Having gone up as a try, it still shouldn't have been given.
The only time the ball made contact with the ground was when it was dropped.

Tetevano needs a long "holiday" after that challenge, at least the ref got that one right.

For one try, I was sure he said ”I’ve got not try” and then gave the T signal. Looked like a rabbit in headlights.

Grant had a stinker last night and seemed out of his depth.Re the Grace try,it seemed clear to me that he lost control of the ball at the very last moment, and surely the VR could see that. The problem is that this way of ruling on a contentious try seems to be embedded in the mind of the video ref that they don't overturn the refs decision unless it's blindingly obvious the decision is wrong. Why do we persist with this nonsense? I think this issue is a stain on the integrity of Rugby League! When a possible try has been scored why doesn't the ref just make a signal for the VR to intervene, and ask is it a TRY or a NO TRY? If the VR is unable to decide, then the ref would make the final ruling, similar to the RU system.

Didn’t we have this exact system in place years ago but they changed it because the decision making and review process was becoming long winded and extending games too long. Pretty sure that was the case.

Don't remember that Trojan, but my memory is a bit hit and miss nowadays.Would hope they were getting it right in that case,or we are stuffed either way.
Would sooner it took longer if it arrived at the correct decision.

Agree with all of the above comments, but the one that got me was when Newman was right in his face after the last St's try when Leeds had lost the plot completely, should have been yet another yellow or even red card for dissent but Grant just bottled it completely and sheepishly walked away icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif
