| He did say this and i must say well done to him, I have always thought him to be a decent bloke and this appers to back that theory up. I do wonder if Willie P has had a word in his ear.

| It's easy to sit back and be the bigger man when you've got a squad that won't really be improved by the players that the administrators are making available...
I think all SL clubs will be happy to loan you players that aren't getting first team action. Read a rumour on the Cas board that Jordan Thompson might be heading for a short stint at Wakey.

| As said, Its very easy to say, When your managing one of the top clubs. When clubs need players in certain positions, And a quality player becomes available cheap. Its hard to say no.
We ourselves have been rumoured to be looking at sending 1 or 2 players your way on loan, Short term recall clauses in them though, In case of shocking injuries.
As said above Jordan Thompson was the first name mentioned.

One of the big clubs came in first for Obst, then another for Fergie.

| I think it is a tidy gesture from a decent guy, who has the game at heart.
However, it does not sit easy with me.
On a practical note, it would solve a few issues for all concerned, but on another, well, it just feels soul-less, and I don't know how
I would feel on the terraces.

You would still have a team on the pitch to watch,be grateful for small mercies during troubled times.

7741_1339451243.jpg When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

| Well, I was at the Bulls fans forum last night, and the question was asked if the panel (which consisted of the head coach, ceo and chairman and Stuart Duffy) if they felt it was right for clubs to be cherry picking Wakefield's best players and Stuart Duffy mentioned that a few years ago, when quins were still london and were in a similar positon, that bradford had been interested in rob purdham and had been warned off attempting to sign him by the RFL.

Yet more evidance of preferential treatment for the expansion clubs.

| There was an interview with Tony Smith by Ray French on Radio Merseyside's rugby league show last night (Monday) and he confirmed that discussions has taken place between Warrington and Wakefield with a view to loaning players to Trinity.
He also said that nothing was confirmed at that stage but both clubs would talk again with a definate view to players going on loan.

Dog eat dog im affraid ... If there had been room on the salary cap im sure he would have bit the administrators hands off should he have wanted any players ... The loan gesture is pure and simply game time for his players - lets not think Smith cares about Wakefield ...

Exactly right. Wire have no room at all under the cap and so couldnt take any players. Moreover they want to offload some for the season. Maybe they are even in breach of the cap?
Nathan Brown has made the same offer. But then Huddersfield are evil so it will be just so we can poach more players probably.
