We appear to have quite a few players currently out of contract which have in the main be classed as first team.
Hampshire, Kershaw, Arundell, K Wood, J Wood, Green, Batchelor and Senior whose loan ends.

In the signed column we have

Gaskell, Lineham and Hood. (Can’t remember anymore)

The question is do we have the youngsters to fill the places.

I know this is currently hypothetical because some of those out of contract may sign but it is slightly worrying.

Thought he was OOC this year because it cropped up when Catalans were sniffing around him last year.

He is not on the list of those players out of contract so probably 12 months left.

It doesn't work like that.

RFL rules are that we have to tell those we are not offering contracts to by a particular date. Think it was end of May in previous seasons but that seems early.
We then have to tell those that we are considering by a similar date, so they can look elsewhere if they want in the meantime
Then we have the group we want to retain. If they don't accept the offer they go into the middle group and can look around.

Can't remember the dates but they are quite early on to give everyone a chance.
There is no "wait and see if new coach wants you" They are effectively told there isn't a contract and you can look around, but we may still make a bid.

I can tell you with fully informed 1st hand information, that although that is the rules, this has not happened with at least 1 player this season
