| Hate missing games, but can't make it tonight. Wifes birthday so we're going out. I'm not brave enough to suggest going out another day and she wouldn't be seen dead at any sporting event.
I need to keep her sweet so I can book for Perpignan when the fixtures come out in November.

Sorry but I totaly disagree with this.
We have a team put together witjout a budget no disrespect to any of the players they have pulled the shirt on but tonight graphically showed it was men against boys. I do think some of our sqaud has some class but they need some experienced big players around them.
The one area i have been disappointed with this season is the amount of penalties given away and kicking too early in the count that would be my criticism of the coaching but evrything else they have had a hand tied behind their backs.

| The team tonight might not have been good enough but they never stopped trying. On the wrong end of most 50/50 decisions and I don't think it was one of Ben Thaler's better games. Don't think we deserved to win but neither did we deserve such a heavy defeat. At 34-14 looked like Leeds knocked on near their own line, ref waved play on and we didn't see the ball til nearly the final hooter. Many Wakey fans stopped at the end to clap the team and I think they derserved it.

So what you are saying in your first paragraph is that we are a poor team.
And in the second you mention coaching failures.
Glad you disagree with me so vehemently.

Completely agree with the poorly coached comment. It shows how bad we are as a team when the fans can call the majority of plays that we produce. Our tackling was atrocious and even McDermott knew that the best way to beat us it to throw it out wide. A few home truths hit home for me last night
1. Semi - You've been a great servant over the years but please give it up, the legs aren't there any more.
2. Rinaldi - A good start to the season but even I know that the run from dummy half is followed by that blind short pass to the prop at the side of you that gets hammered everytime and is lucky to keep hold of the ball.
3. Tackling - It's a basic skill but something we lack, especially out wide where we seem to be outnumbered. If we have 3 men in the tackle why can't we bring the player down or stop the offload?
4. Utilising the dummy runner - How come every other team in SL can do this when they move the ball out wide yet we always seem to manage just a long flat pass?
On a positive note for me I think Tongia could give us something different next season and Wildie looked lively again.
One more moan. Bailey is just a thug and the sooner someone hammers him the better. Vasty suggested he would be a good asset to the team but my season ticket would go in the bin if we got him. Hate the guy.
