Money, effort, time as gone into newmarket; this will be quicker than any locations as 60% of the procedure is done. Mr Glover took a chance on us and hes doing his dambdest for us to get a licence we may not be here now. 5000 thou members is a box that needs to be ticked and what better stage to announce it on a stage like tonight fair play. Would there have been 1500 fans for a midicore meeeting= NO. This was the perfect stage for the club to try and get 5000 thou members and this is a box that needs to be ticked. Mr Glover is putting his own money to redevelop belle vue for 3 years he doesnt have to do this but he is. Fair play to the bloke. I agree. A few months ago we thought it was the end of Trinity, now we have someone who is willing to put his hand in his pocket to upgrade our stadium to try and get a superleague licence. £2 a week isn't much to ask in return - its a lot less than Ted was asking for!

Cas were looking to do a similar weekly draw but picking four numbers between 1 to 31 was deemed too hard. They are looking at one where they can pick their lucky numbers by counting their fingers. so anywhere between 1 and 12 then.

I totally agree. If Ted Et al had spent 500000 on Belle Vue a year ago we might not be "favourites" for the drop.
I think people had unrealistic expectations about the meeting. If ground improvements like this were announced without the hype and anticipation I think most would be delighted.
We've been lucky to find someone who is willing to spend "their kids inheritance" on what will hopefully just be demolished in 18 months time when we move to Newmarket.
