We need to advertise the benefits of getting the Wakefield Trinity fan base to sign up to this and every purchase that is made by them on the Internet through a large selection of companies (including high street retailers such as Argos) needs to be done here and it donates funds to the Wakey cause registered on the website. It's backed by the Trinity website and gives simple instructions.

www.easyfundraising.org.uk/retailers/

Xmas is fast approaching not just for the purchase of Xmas presents but also a lot of people book their holidays via the internet. This can be done via easyfundraising, the more you spend the more is donated to Wakefield Trinity.

www.easyfundraising.org.uk/top-travel-deals/

For those with small businesses if you purchase your office supplies through here again finance is generated for Wakey from the website. Advertise it to all of your friends via their standardised introduction email and after the first £10 raised by the new introductee another £5 goes to Wakey. Add it to your Facebook and twitter accounts ASAP to get more to sign up.

www.easyfundraising.org.uk/raise-more/

A work colleague raised £1000 for a local footy club but as he rightly pointed out it needs 100's of people to sign up and use it at this key time of year! If people don't then money won't be generated for the club.

I signed up this morning as was ordering a couple of birthday presents for family that live away. Pretty much every company you order online with is in the scheme. The company I ordered with give WTW 7.5% of the sale. It's an excellent earner for the club particularly at this time of year when online sales are at their highest.
Defo need to spread the word on this one.

I agree it needs to be continually given a high profile to ensure sign up. There are also posters/flyers that could be circulated in local sports clubs, schools, community centres, libraries, shop windows etc

www.easyfundraising.org.uk/raise ... nd-flyers/

An easy way to raise funds
Turn your online shopping into donations for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats!

Do you shop online? Did you know that every time you buy something you could be raising money for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats?

That's right, over 2,700 well known retailers, including Amazon, John Lewis, eBay and Tesco will donate a small percentage of what you spend to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to say thank you for shopping with them.

It's a really simple process, all you have to do is:

Register at www.easyfundraising.org.uk
When you?re asked to choose your cause, select Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
Get shopping - it couldn?t be easier!
Easyfundraising has already raised over £5 million for over 50,000 good causes across the UK. So what are you waiting for? Head to www.easyfundraising.org.uk to fundraise for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats now. Already registered? Spread the word to family and friends to let them know just how easy it is!

Should WTW appeal for volunteers to circulate poster/flyers/leaflets across Wakefield? eusa_think.gif

We need hundreds if not a few thousand to sign up and purchase mostly through the website. We only have 92 members at the moment.

I'm buying my car insurance through the website to confused.com so there will be another donation there in addition to signing on line to the National Lottery through them. Every time I purchase something it will now be through easy fundraising for WTW. You can even load a search bar which leads to free donations to WTW.

Just signed up and bought something through the site. Remember to download the toolbar thingy that reminds you when you are shopping that that site is part of scheme. Daft thing is if all season ticket holders did this Foxy and 1873 we would soon start getting to DC's "starting line".

I agree.

There is also apparently a £30 donation if you book AA breakdown via easyfundraising.org.uk! a046.gif

Home Insurance via the site to Legal and General is a £25 donation and they tend to give competitive quotes. a046.gif

Just signed up dead easy, clicked to load the remind me toolbar, clicked Ebay and bought a small purchase to see how it worked it looks like Ebay give 15%, everybody shops on Ebay, all supporters need to sign up to this it could raise a lot of money for the club.

Its a great idea but can you only nominate one cause? Sorry but in my opinion there's a lot more worthy causes to give it to than a PROFESSIONAL rugby club if thats the case.

a046.gif

Just because we donate to this cause doesn't mean that some of us don't raise money for Cancer Research and other worthwhile causes by doing charity events etc as we do. There are a number of organisations trying to raise funds it is not purely for charities. Some people don't believe in charities either because they feel the welfare state should support those most vulnerable in society but don't. We could go on and on but this is a forum for those that love rugby league and WTW not politics....
