| This will be our first visit to St James' Park, so I'm wondering where will be the best place to park without spending a fortune ??
We are booked in for lunch at The Toby Carvery in the Metro Centre at 12.30 so will be making our way to the ground maybe around 1.30 ??, so all the Codheads and the Shudds taxi will be in by then and all the Wigan and Wire fans will no doubt be arriving around the same time ??
Looking on Google maps there look to be quite a few car parks close to the stadium, but am wondering if anyone can recommend one please ??

| Not sure about the parking sorry. We are parking at the hotel we are staying at.
I would book some in advance though.
On a side note, watching Nikotemo last night from his interview he still looks sore in the rib area. Can’t see him playing a week later especially if he’s still in discomfort and can’t ride on rides.

We parked at the Eldon Square's car park for the World Cup opener against Samoa. Can’t remember how much it was but it’s in a decent location and plenty of space. It’s a large circular building.

Fil, there is The Gate car park on Stowell St (NE1 5TG) which is near to Sid James Park, its in Chinatown and only a 10min walk from the stadium. Which you should be able to see..... Even with your mincers..... Hang on...... Toby Carvery??? Dear God......

Where's he been? Alton Towers??? Close lol, he was at flamingo land but said that Powell wouldn’t be happy if he went on the ride. Was still clutching at the rib too.

Think they’ve not researched the injuries. We have practically a full pack out. Amazingly we have a solid looking pack still. I think though I’d be attacking Cas on the edges for this one on a big pitch. Utilise your strengths I guess. But another 12 week injury for a forward. Uele could even be longer term pending how it settles. Absolutely unbelievable bad luck as soon as we hit the more winnable games. Please please destroy Cas at magic. Would really top the weekend off.

| Be fascinating to see what team Powell goes with. Particular questions about the wing and #17. For me it’d be:
Jowitt Johnstone Pratt Scott Walmsley/Myers/Tchamambe (genuinely don’t mind) Trueman Lino McMeeken Hood Vagana Griffin Nikotemo Pitts
Smith Fa’atili Cozza Rourke/Croft

| That looks a pretty good squad to me even considering the injuries to the pack that we currently have, but Powell does mention the possibility of moving Pitts into the pack ????
Is Isaac Shaw fit ??
