| PopTart:We see things very differently Trojan We do but I’m not saying he’s near my first 4. Just that he is a prop/13. Though we play him mostly 13 and that’s where I see him. He played prop a few times last year for us and he would be ahead of Shaw and Lingard if needed. Worst case scenario Mckmeeken, Vagana, Faatili, Cozza still has something about it. I do hope Uele is clear to play though. Along with a few others.

I don't think it has enough about it to worry Cas'I get where you're coming from but we have 2 back row forwards in there and the pack from being one which was above most in SL has gone to one which won't worry any others in SL.

It wasn’t that long ago in pre season a lot of fans saw Vagana as a prop. He can play prop just as well from what I have seen and I think he’s a better prop option than a few of the new props for Cas. Would you swap him for Salabio, Dezaria or even Singleton? Cozza isn’t a back row. He’s always played in the middle at 13/prop or these off the bench. He does have some games at second row but he’s at home in the middle. Though he is more of a 13 these days.the likelihood is that our 4th prop won’t need to do big minutes as Mckmeeken will likely do 60-70minutes. Saying that those 4 not troubling Cas, I still think you’re overestimating Cas’s props. Uele will make a huge difference though. Our forwards will really need to step up in this one and roll the sleeves up.

| I agree with Trojan on Cas's pack. It's better than it was in pre-season, but it's still not great. Salabio, Singleton, Dezaria and Westerman are all good on their day but they're also full of penalties and loose carries. I'd back McMeeken, Uele or Vagana, Fa'atili and Cozza to get over them all day.
It's still the same challenge as we had two weeks ago. We need to get them in the arm wrestle, kick into corners, and when we inevitably get opportunities, ice them. We didn't do any of that against them at home, nor in Perpignan. We've been playing wonderful risky rugby and finishing our sets terribly. Sometimes you get away with that, but if the other team's on, you don't. I reckon that'll be the same this weekend.

Sure, and I never said that was an issue but let’s develop on that and maybe I can understand your opinion better. Who would you prefer to have in our forwards other than Amone from Cas over: Mckmeeken Faatili Vagana Uele I’m genuinely interested in which out of Griffin, Mustapha, Dezaria, Salabio, Singleton you would prefer or think are so much better that you use the term ‘not enough to worry Cas’. We know Vagana is good at prop and I’m sure he played pretty well there earlier this season too in SL. Genuine question but at best I’d say it’s pretty even in the pack even with Rodwell, Atoni, Storton out. You may rate the Cas forwards more than I do. That’s fine but I personally don’t see that we won’t trouble them. It will be a battle in my opinion in the middle.

| Reports Suggesting we made a ‘big offer’ for Knights SR/loose Mat Croker. Apparently he’s staying now.

Isn’t he a prop/lock? Seems we are on the hunt for another quality addition along with Smoothy.

| Yes prop. Regular first team with Knights at 25. Would have been a great fit. Sad to have to one day let one of the overseas players go but if we are improving quality to that extent then that's how we have to progress.

Of the two Vangana is more of a prop but I just don't see Cozza doing a props job! If he plays and has a blinder- then I'll buy willingly eat humble pie!

Cozza won’t be busting through and I wouldn’t suggest he’s a regular at prop but he played solid there last season. He will graft and tackle well if nothing else. Cas will likely raise their game but we need to be doing the same and then some. I don’t know if it’s the injuries but we have been going a little soft lately in defence and go forward. Certainly compared to early season. Need a stormer from Mckmeeken and Faatili up front and Uele if playing. I think the way to best Cas though is on the edges. Get the ball running through Max on the edges with some running options etc and I feel we will get success.
