Can't spend more than £1.2million and can't register new players
So they have to let some players go.

The reality is even with their highest earners that 8-10 players they need to move on. |

Now it seems extremely unlikely that Bain moving on has nothing to do with what’s going on at Salford. Only us and Huddersfield with quota and cap room. We’re signing at least one from Salford aren’t we. Really hope it’s MacDonald or Lafai, with a Watkins chaser.

Now it seems extremely unlikely that Bain moving on has nothing to do with what’s going on at Salford. Only us and Huddersfield with quota and cap room. We’re signing at least one from Salford aren’t we. Really hope it’s MacDonald or Lafai, with a Watkins chaser.
MacDonald would give us an absolute weapon on the wing if either Walmsley doesn’t quite crack it, or TJ isn’t fit. Or he could be a strike centre and realistically slot straight in on the left side. Or he can cover at fullback (where he killed it for PNG in the Pacific Cup recently), though that seems less likely given Rourke is a ready-made backup.

Leaving space for a couple of players could have been a master stroke here.
A couple of strong players from a team who finished in playoffs could really give us a positive boost.
I guess any transfer fee would be welcome and aid Salford too.
