Brough has nothing to do with Leigh.

We saw something in him and gave him a try. Decided it wasn't right but Leigh decided they see something they'd like to develop.

How on earth is that stopping the game moving forward.

I could give you a thousand reasons why our game is moving forward. I can think of some issues too, but a young Wakefield reserves player in the pursuit of professional breakthrough isn't one of them.

I'm thinking that if Will Brough was another Danny Brough in the making I'm sure we wouldn't have let him go.

Seen him play a few times. There's definitely potential there, as Chester has said - I'll take his opinion over a sour-faced comment on this forum any day. Nothing to do with nepotism. Hopefully the lad continues his development at Leigh, and doesn't get put off by trash talking trolls.

I assume he’s referring to Brough senior and Chester being mates. Not sure they are other than him playing for Chester at Trinity.

I do think there is an element of truth in what he said. Like it or not his name possibly gives him a very slight advantage, but not enough to get upset about.

I think the only advantage his name would give him is access to a trial. After that, he's on his own and any offer of a place would be down to his aptitude and potential. I doubt there's much room for sentiment in RL team budgets.

Somewhere along the line a decision on a player has to be made. More often than not the player finds his level, they seldom improve and prove the first decision wrong.
