Hull who you’d like to think we could be competing with have a signed squad of 31 and there starting squad is packed with players proven at highest level - admittedly some are a bit long in the tooth and as a club they flatter to deceive - but it gives you an idea of the strength in depth you need
Unless Powell wants him in a full time environment ASAP, in which case we will probably sign him and send him straight out on loan, he isn't anywhere near ready to play SL yet, we will look to sign him next year when he is out of contract, probably as a direct replacement for Croft, who unless he improves a lot this season, seems unlikely to be offered a new contract
