I'm no prude but the chants yesterday seemed to be less imaginative than usual - much more "F" and "F off" (plus variants) than usual. I've been coming down there for nearly 50 years and yes it's always been there and yes the young lads think it's just part of the game (like upper cuts used to be part of the scrum) but even my young(ish) kids were a bit embarrassed.
I know the lads are always looking for ideas for chants and songs but just seemed a bit over the top yesterday.
There's not much I can do about it, it's more of an observation I guess but it did take a little bit of the enjoyment away for me. Maybe I'm just an old git.
In East Stand at Sheffield game there was a male shouting using the c*** word, more than once. Couldn't see who it was otherwise I'd have reported him. Young children sat in the vacinity of him as well.
