| FT you obviously know your stuff on such matters. Anyone that follows test cricket will no doubt be aware of what happens when it gets dull or cloudy, the umpires get their light meters out and if the reading is too low, the players are off and the game is paused. FT , I would assume that it's quite easy to measure the light and test that each ground in RL has the required levels. So I wonder why it doesn't happen in RL. The second game at Fev this season those lights were terrible and I find it hard to believe they were 500 Lux. I think the lights at Sheffield were only slightly better, but at least they all worked. Fev had not even bothered to replace the faulty lights.
I am with Vastman on this, make the clubs have adequate lighting and get pitches that are flat and of the correct dimensions. If the club can't do that, refuse to let them hold games till they can.

| Quote: Dr Dreadnought "I thought it was poor of Powell to say this in a press conference, what he thinks about a player and his performance in a previous game should stay within the dressing room, no doubt he will have spoken to Lawford since the game telling him what he needs to do going forwards, and that should have been the end of it. He could've answered the question by saying that he went with Kaye because of his greater experience in big games.'"
I didn’t, it’s a man’s game and they need to be tough - he needs to take it on the chin, I’m all for it, a no blame culture is a losing culture. One proviso, is that is across the board, fairs fair.

I thought exactly the same, also I'm struggling to see which players were offside from the 2 kicks that were dropped by Bradford, although i would also admit there we a couple of "flat" passes from Wakefield that resulted in tries.
The 2nd half was total domination though and even the first 30 mins wasn't as strong for Bradford as the commentators on the radio were portraying, they only scored once plus a penalty in front of the sticks

I agree, there is a lot of positives to take from individual accountability and I also don`t think there is anything wrong with calling it out publicly, I think it creates a winning mentality, I mean we can all see it anyway. Powell has always done it but so have coaches like Wane. On the flipside I have heard DP is a really good man manger and makes a big effort to develop close relationships with each player, they will understand what is expected of them, he won`t just be calling them out out of the blue.

Said exactly same at game. Absolutely no wrap or attempt to wrap. Was shocked the ref ignored it.
Also agree about the offsides (especially the first one). Froze farm and all clearly on side. The commentator, trinity players were completely baffled by that and rightly so too. There was a lot of laying on too slowing down allowed too.
Again though the forwards rolled sleeves up and turned the engine room up. Class set of young forwards.

Yeah, I thought that watching it back, seemed like a shoulder charge but hard to see tbf and it happens quickly.
