Potentially, but there is a precedent, certainly where the cabins are.

Not sure if it would, i can remember the old wooden West stand that was demolished after the Bradford stadium fire, along with just about every other wooden stadium stands,(how did Cas get away with it.).
The height of our old Western stand was quite considerable, so perhaps we could use that as leverage.

Ok so ME could say well we had a stand here previously at said height ?

Yes, and there is a structure already there. else he buys all the posts behind and removes the issue completely!

| The old stand having been there years possibly before the houses were built set the precedent I would suggest so pp should not be an issue on the height of a structure.

| That was a long time ago. I can't see that impacting any planning permission.

Indeed, but the fact there is still something there is the precedent. The much maligned portacabins may just have retained rights for the height we may need to get a decent structure in place.

| I don't think there'll be an issue...you can't object to planning permission because it spoils your view, only if it blocks light from your property. As the houses have long gardens, and are oriented so that the path of the sun wouldn't be blocked by any development, there's no grounds for objection on that score.

Good points.
And I agree with Klav, the precedent has been set by the cabins.
It's more about time. Any objections will inevitably slow down the build, and impact on SL and IMG.
So it's in our interest to create as lower impact structure as is possible, but still big enough to suit our needs, show willing in other words.

| I don't think it needs to be that big anyway. It's not like we need another version of the Neil Fox Stand.
I think it needs to be covered and as long as possible.
If its standing it needs better concrete. If there's seating it doesn't have go be the whole width so that there are still options to stand. Much like the old one.
In terms of planning, I don't think it would need to be taller than two story house and houses would get planning permission there.
