The Championship season doesn't start until mid March so it will be interesting to see what crowds we get for the early cup games when neither competition will be eligible for season ticket use.

In the past 50 years 98, 2000 & 2006 apart we’ve built up expectations and attracted stay away fans to come back only to put on a shi…terrible show and send them all home disappointed.
The trick now, Championship or not, is to play some attractive Rugby League, show some togetherness with the fans and most of all win matches, maybe even Cups. If we’re going to have 5000 maybe 6000 people attending we need to get them hooked for life!

I don’t think this is a bad thing for us, normally I’d be against it though.
Given the reality we are a new team with a new coach and new combinations I think the more game time they get together prior to going into the league campaign the better.
