Suppose its Hood and Doyle as the two 9's with Kay/Smith as back up. Shames as I felt we played some of our better stuff when Bowes was at dummy half. Hopefully the new regime is signing off these recruits.

Unfortunate it ended how it did with Keighley as it on paper it doesn't paint a pretty picture for Doyle but I think he's a quality hooker from what I saw of him at Bradford. Definitely fit for the Championship.

We've tried to sign him twice before now so comes at no surprise. Does cause you to question whether this is anything to do with Powell or is one of Applegarth/Carters choices. I'd imagine the latter, if Powell isn't a done deal and only speculative then Applegarth will be business as usuall.

Sounds like he signed a deal a while ago whilst we were still in SL but it must have been one of the same ones Line, Gale, Griffin etc signed so covered all eventualities.

Saw him live for Keighley at Batley earlier this year and seen him on tv a couple of times. Can’t say he stood out to be honest but its a small sample size and he has time on his side. Looks more of a Hood style hooker rather than a ‘scooter’ if you get what i mean.

Is Hood signed next year?
