Quote MOPSEY LIVES ON="MOPSEY LIVES ON"as far as I see it the ground and the land are the assets the new stand and the rest are buildings on the assett so we are in debt to the council over 3 million which as to be paid back and will be extremely difficult to do if we go down but don't let that detract from your obsession of defending Carter and the club.'"
Lol. You are funny Mopsey. You realise you are showing obsessive signs too?
Anyway, the point of the stadium asset is to
1) Keep us in, or a chance of returning, to Super League.....which drives higher income for the rugby side
2) generate income outside the rugby side.
In all mortgages, the point is to buy an expensive asset that will either make money through inflation of land or building prices, or generate income in excess of its cost over time, that you couldn't buy in one go and would lose the opportunity of the income without it.
I've no crystal ball to say it will all work, but it makes sense to me.
Added bonus of nice place for me to sit and watch rugby.
I don't think it's just Carter's idea.
