It shows just how poor and utterly dull our offensive game has been. Its not a criticism of our wingers.'"
Well some games the forwards have carried us into the opposition 20 on numerous ocassions. Sometimes we have had repeat sets.
Also the wingers as said havent over the course of 8 games had any decent space or ball.
I’m pretty sure our issue lies within the spine positions of 1,6,7,9,13.
I’m far from convinced with Lino either and never have been. He’s the one constant who’s had the most ball and created (other than game 1) absolutely nothing with all that ball. His skip looks class across the line but I’m not sure if that delays and allows defensive cover to come across. I don’t doubt his effort but he is most certainly not an organiser and is more an off the cuff plsyer. He should be playing second fiddle to a half who is able to organise a team and plays.
Someone said that the team don’t appear to know what Lino will do. There could be something in that. Of course it’s not just Lino as I think there are issues at 9 particularly and 13.
I did think initially Kay would have been a good 9 but he’s clearly lacking in the technical side and his strength is running when on front foot. For me he’s not had a successful transition to 9. Won’t doubt his effort but we have an actual 9 waiting in the wings on Bowes who I believe would offer more,
Some decisions need to made for these positions which may not be comfortable but needed.'"
In all honesty, I don't think we've been great at 9 since the Wood/Randell days, except for Bowes.
Also, as much as I like Crowther, he is much more of a defensive 13, maybe move him into the second row, and look to a 13 who's a bit more creative.

| Quote: Pat Bateman "Was it carter or Applegarth that said if we didn’t do the Hall deal then we’d risk not winning a game without a genuine fullback. Unfortunately we are and were caught between a rock and a hard place. Hall would be leaving at the end of the year if we went down, and we won’t possibly win a game with Dagger at 1. What a terrible state we are in.'"
Does anyone know what Jowitt's actual injury is? Does anyone think he'll ever play for us again? ![Crying or Very sad icon_cry.gif](images/smilies//icon_cry.gif)

No I don't, but was thinking this only yesterday. Why do we have to settle for "a freak injury during captains run, something with the foot / ankle" and not what the ACTUAL injury is? Would it harm them to tell us what is going on? I am genuinely interested for one, and is it not just courtesy to the fans to keep them updated?

Applegarth would only constantly say it wrong like he does with Gaskell's pectoral injury.

It was the same with Lynne earlier and when asked about Crowther he said he did not want to go into his injury, the only thing I can think of is it might have something to do with HIA's.
