Todays back line must be the worst we've turned out in Super League. Absolutely no pace or athleticism.
As bad as he is there is only Lino with any energy and spark.

For me only Lino came out of that game with a modicum of respect , the rest should hang their heads in shame . Absolutely clueless in attack and dire in defence, we made leigh look like an NRL team that second half ,with their attacking prowess up against our abysmal defence .

It would appear that our coach does not think some of the players are of an acceptable standard for SL. He wants to build the team around players like Kershaw, Whitbread and Hewitt despite the latter only being on loan.
He is going nowhere so it’s up to those who appointed him in haste to do so but do we believe they will because who would want to take on the basket case that is Wakefield Trinity. I am sure the only thing stopping Carter from taking on the coaches position is that he lacks the necessary qualifications to do so.

The book stops squarely on Applegarth and the owners for letting this turd show carry on. Say what you want about the players, but they are employees, it is down to the coach to address this dross show. I’d rather watch us get beat 60-0 with a bunch of academy lads actually playing with passion and pride then a lot of these wage stealers currently getting into our team week in week out clearly without competition. We are going down, I’ve come to terms with that. We have no money, we have a mid/top table championship squad, with an inexperienced coach at this level.

Agree re Lino, I’m not a huge fan of his but he is a big step up on the other “halves” we have at the club.
Need to look at Jowitt at 6 when he is fit because our other options are dire. |
