Agreed. The head coach has brought his number 2 in because they are chums from college teams etc. he did ok at york (wow) but neither cut it as players or coaches at all level.

MC has backed his man and brought in who applegarth wanted, probably because of budget, it doesn’t work so needs to change, surely that is the answer.

I bet any conference team would still be able to score more points week on week than wakey can in their related division……. Simple fact they ain’t good enough at this level, but maybe better at academy or championship level. If that is the case they will both still be here next season and the one after that and the one after that etc………..

I think you are all forgetting our most expensive player. Proctor has been absolute rubbish, incapable of no more than 15 effective minutes and most of that time bent double with his Harris in the air and more steam comming out of it than the flying scotsman

With a new coaching set up and a major recruitment drive, we could well produce the worst season from any club in super league history. No wins and hardly any points scores so far, I can't remember a side being this poor.

I'm usually a little cautious of a wholesale change, as often it felt that a new start might just be around the corner. Take 2006 for example. That was a good squad, and a lot of games still felt competitive. This year, it feels hopeless. At least we'd have the comfort of knowing it can't get any worse. Lose on Sunday and Leigh are out of sight for us. Hull FC are bound to get better. A faltering Cas is our only hope.

I think both Cas and Hull will get much better leaving us in a world of pain at the bottom of the table

Yep - I see little or no hope for the rest of this season whether or not we change the coach. Basically we have a championship squad playing a division above their level and I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to change that. I see plenty of effort from most of the players but we are just outclassed in games. I gave up on away matches about 3 seasons ago but even the thought of a home game fills me with dread at the moment and the 80 mile round trip doesn't help. Don't remember feeling so low about our prospects in over 50 years of supporting.
