In my opinion the reaction by many is not pre mature (your initial reaction‘beginning of the end’ is correct).

If Trinity released a fringe player or one who’s off form and looking towards the end of their rugby league career (rather than at the beginning of it) then it could be more easily understood.

Releasing a first teamer for a squad player is not good business. A fee should have also been demanded so another player could also be purchased.

The club is preparing for the Championship.

Stopping coming only only exasperates the situation as I see it , as it’s the old chicken and egg scenario, they can only spend on players what they generate, and as fans fall away so dies our expenditure on players .

I guess he does not realise that the playing decision he makes impacts the number of people attending. I said before that if he wants to know why we never reached the magic number of supporters that he looks in the mirror and asks himself could I have done more to encourage them.

But we don’t have to just turn up. We can still protest at game about how disgraceful we find the clubs actions.
Not turning up does nobody any favours but turning up and telling the club what we think about them speaks volumes and guess how much media traffic that will bring in the club and maybe someone might ‘just might’ come forward. It’s worked at many football clubs. It’s not the time to stay silent.

If hall wanted away, we should have kept it quiet and insisted on dagger plus cash or no deal. Playing Kershaw at full back for 6 weeks probably wouldn't have causes any difference in results. They've had our pants down and we bent over and invited it

If anyone actually thinks protesting is the problem that ‘ won’t help the player’ then they are deluded and have not been watching any of the games this year. What won’t help the players if the fact that they will be unemployed next year and who’s going to want any of them other than championship and league one teams. It’s already too late to just sit on our hands.
Either say something or be happy in the championship next year and if you have said your piece then at least you’ve been honest unlike the team and the board and the club at the moment!!!

Absolutely shocking decision Are we so naive to just swap Hall for Dagger without substantial money coming our way? I don't care tuppence that Hall may have wanted away, he bloody well didn't when he signed up for his contract.We are practically Rovers' feeder club, might as well make it official!

It’s very disappointing, looks very negative but we don’t know the facts and why would we.
We have been leaking points on both edges and as someone said, he didn’t look up for it to the coach and was dropped. Whatever your views on Mark Applegarth as a rookie coach, he has forgotten more than most on here.
I’m personally battered by it all and am choosing my games but can only think back to five/ six years ago. “If you want to leave, come and see me”!
