Been a while since I posted on here, mainly because its been a while since Ive been to a game, this was after around 30 years when I think I only missed about a dozen games in total. I gave up in the end because I wasnt enjoying the experience, many times going to a game in a decent mood and coming home fed up! Frankly whatever they did to the ground would make no difference to me, in fact some of my most enjoyable wakey games have been at total dumps in the rain, in truth I gave up because I didnt like segregated grounds, having to sit down, half empty football stadiums, a lack of players I wanted to watch, (ie not teams full of second row forwards, lack of "characters"), and of course mostly losing!
I have yet to be convinced that ANY RL club needs a ground with a 15k capacity as the game stands, and would rather be in a full smaller ground than a quarter full footy stadium, its similar to gigs, its just better if its full for the band!
Wakey has perhaps 10,000 people who will say they "follow" the clubs results, you meet them every day work/pub/food bank, but of these only around 2,000 if we are being honest, actually FOLLOW the club, how, or if you could, get the rest down to belle vue and fill the new shiny ground has, and always will, be the Trinity dilemma, cant think of a way I would return regularly at the moment, and at one point I would have said the team was a very important part of my life, to convince others will be harder, but im pretty sure if I opened a shiny pressie at xmas and found nowt inside id be disappointed, or to use the music analogy ask any Queen fan how often they listen to "hot space", and the cover is ok.

I haven’t been in the North Stand for quite a few years now being an East Stander, but I have noticed this season sitting at the south end, when the North Standers do have something to shout about, it comes through loud and proud, please keep it up you North Standers,

There were plenty of instances last year when it was mentioned how poor the atmosphere was in the NS. More linked to the rugby on show than the changes.

What a load of tosh - Glover bankrupted us for Christ sake, what planet are some of you on. It’s taken ten years to undo the damage done by the previous regimes. Some of you have pathetically short memories.

And people are so far up the clubs backsides that they will lap this up while the club get rid of Corey Hall. A lot of our fans are deluded and need to wake up and smell the coffee, the board are a joke and need to go, as are the coaching staff.

You're right, there is a great long line of people just waiting to take over the reins and pump millions into the squad. Also there are an abundance of top quality coaches chomping at the bit to take control of this grand club. What are we waiting for?!

They do not put any money in themselves and the club is self sufficient as they have said many times so in theory anybody could do it.
