| Luke Hooley is playing for Leeds reserves this week. I’d be looking at bringing him in on loan to play full back leaving Kay free to play in the wing or 9

Or 6 The spine is a joke You do not get 0 points in 3 games because your short of second rowers The problem is most of the the team are players way past there best , Though the Chester rebuild was bad for bringing in old men ,(and we are still paying the price because of long contracts) .but this coach is playing rugby before the game change to the 4 tackle rule .

| Why bring in another journeyman who is really no improvement on our present players? The reality is that we need a high class stand off - and have done since we lost Nigel Wright- but they are rare as hen's teeth and cost a fortune. We really need to give the youngsters a chance to prove that they can perform.

Why would we bring a guy in who has just returned to training after 9 months out injured to cover a guy who is out for a week? Especially given we have Corey Hall in the wings? Its spine players we need but sadly thats the area Wigan don’t have lots of cover in.

| Taken from an online Q&A regarding all things Hull FC.
[i'Interestingly, I understand Wakefield wanted to take Jamie Shaul back on loan despite the fiasco they played out over the autumn, but Hull are having none of it. He will play for the reserves on Saturday'.[/i
Also i see Connor Wynne has gone on loan to Newcastle. There is mention on the Hull board that we enquired but it was decided Newcastle was the preferred option. How true that is i don't know.

I doubt we'll get much help from Tony Smith. I believe that there's still some ill feeling over Brian's time with us.

| I would think it is probably more to do with Shaul being told that he was not wanted after discussing a contract because the money was to be spent on a forward.

Wasn't Tony Smith the Wire coach when MC did that deal to take Simon Grix off their payroll to allow them to sign Chris Sandow back in 2016? Obviously OK then.
I do think that Smiths move to Hull FC did scupper the Shaul deal but not for any reason other than TS rated him higher than Hodgson did.
