Yeah, the size unfortunately is crucial from a cost perspective. To get the same info in a more traditional A5 format would take it to 16 pages and that would require stapling and at the quantities we are selling at that would make it well over a pound to get a return. It would effectively become the old programme that became uneconomical a few years back.
Also you'd lose the poster, or at least a poster of any worthwhile size, a major selling point imo.
It's a compromise but we are hoping at the price it is it will sell in reasonable quantity and thus make a decent return.
However things are fluid and I see no reason why at the end of the season we couldn't do a collectors special digest version at A5 size on higher grade paper to sell online. All 14 editions for say £14.99. Be a great stocking filler that you could definitely keep pristine and I'm sure we could throw in some extra end of season extras, especially if its a good season.
