| The seating area of the new stand will be a much different experience to the old one, and of course is the best option for those who prefer to sit alongside the sides (I prefer a side view to being behind the posts - was always a West Stand person rather than the North, when that was an option). I expect there to be much more takers for the seats than there were previously.
It is very good for families too, as they can sit alongside their children. At the moment, the options are to dump them at the front and you go there too, or leave them alone at the front, or have them further back and probably unable to see. The old Belle Vue was not a family experience. A new seating stand will be much more attractive to parents with younger children.
If my dad hadn't taken me when I was five, I wouldn't be typing this now, fifty-two years later.

I remember it well. My seat was one of them.

no but there were always quite a few in there. They just bought general tickets and sat wherever there was a spare seat.

I seem to remember a time when Trinity did allocate away fans the North wing of East Stand, but somehow that didn’t last long, and away fans were sold tickets with the advice sit anywhere, but not to sit in reserved (named) seats. That advice wasn’t always. followed.

Had to ask quite a few fans over the years to move from our seats. Even showing the Leigh fans our season tickets they were hard to move on.

I might try it from my seat lol. Quite a few seats been taken already. 18 rows of seats average 150 per row would be 2700 take away the steps etc for 2500 should be excellent and a great view.

| Only just remembered to mention...
When at Leeds on Boxing Day, I counted the rows they have in the new North Stand; it's 21 if I recall correctly.
I think ours is 18 rows, so not dissimilar, though without the huge cricket stand with it's extensive hospitality on the back.
