To be fair I've just gone through the thread, nobody said you were wrong...
Sacred Cow - Proctor? Good god no, the absolute definition of a has been. A good player in his day but has been dire for two or three seasons now and has developed a weird trouble causing attitude in recent times. And 34 by the start of next season. Give this one a wide berth.
Dave K. (Hull FC Fan) - Anyone who watches NRL would know ge has been absolutely terrible, he is finished and any SL club signing him would be making a massive mistake, add to this he is 33 and an idiot off the field.
Pat Bateman - He has been out for about 8 rounds beginning of the year and hasn’t stood out in a very poor NRL side. 280 NRL games and 22 Kiwi tests, the blokes had a stellar career to say the least, but is way past his best. I’m not into the whole age thing at times, too many quality players over 30 who are still smashing it, if you’re not good enough then it doesn’t matter what age you are. If a genuinely class player came to us at 32 and we got 2 solid years out of him, whilst they passed on experience to the younger lads then win win. Better than signing a 27 year old who is simply not good enough and binning them off after a season.
Kettykat - Watch NRL on a weekly basis , and I’d still have him in a heart beat, can’t beat experience and a bloke who’s played at the highest level , or should we tempt keegan Hirst back for a second stint as I’ve read he’s just come out of retirement and signed for batley again , sure if you ask nicely he’d oblige.
On another note reading the post again, I would've said you were putting two and two together following his release. Hardly inside information!
