How on earth do the MRP make a decision, uphold it on appeal and then cave in at a 2nd appeal?

Surely if ever an appeal was going to be regarded as frivolous it would be appealing an already upheld appeal.

So the argument is that it doesn't matter that you put someone in a dangerous position as long as you don't go too far and they don't get hurt.Does this apply to lifting above the horizontal as well? Professional foul indeed,you couldn't make it up!

Regarding the Knights squad it's odd that when Bateman and Knowles received their bans Bateman was included in the squad to run down his suspension to make him available for the world cup. Knowles wasn't included almost as if they knew he'd get off

If Knowles 2 games had stood, he would have missed the World Cup opener but, still be available for the "bigger" games.
If Batman hadnt been selected for the Knights, I think he would miss all of the group games and the first of the last 8 fixtures and England will need their strongest side for the quarter finals.
It's still crazy to for the National side and governing body to be complicit in this type of "bending" of the rules and it's harsh on someone who deserves their sport in the Knights squad but, is now deprived of this to accommodate Bateman.
It would have been better to say that domestic bans carry over into the domestic season, after all, that is where he transgressed.
