Memory did not fail me, the club did a review after 12 months and decided they needed a change.

I'll be honest, I was a little underwhelmed, when I saw Applegarths name crop up a lot this afternoon. Don't get me wrong, he's done a great job with the kids. I just don't think he's ready for this next step just yet.

With all the names being brandished about, the journalists have been very busy over the past 24 hours or so.

I have heard, from a good source (current senior player), who shall remain nameless, I was being sociable in passing the time of day, and didn't get involved in the topic that much, just saying that we get the right person, and soon. This was his words ALL current coaching staff have gone.

All seems very odd,but if true, would rule out Applegarth.

Maybe, just maybe, that revolt on here, has touched a nerve and sparked a reaction. Knee jerk or not, only time will tell.

Sorry EW but I'm very sceptical about the things this player told you, doesn't make any sense to me! We don't know for sure if MA has got the top job,but why would the club get rid of him when he seems to be so highly regarded by everyone that knows him,as an up and coming coach.Also think you're overstating the leverage of this forum.

Yes I do post positive comments, when there is positivity. Sadly, on the whole, there has been very little to be positive about over the past 2-3 seasons, though I did post some positivity on a different thread recently, maybe you need to look before reacting.

No mate, it wasn't, but if I hear something from someone that I think is usually a reliable source I don't mind posting on here and been wrong to be honest, it's a forum at the end of the day not points scoring for me and it generates some good discussion.

Also how on earth would a player know any of this, utter nonsense. The days when players were treated like livestock are gone but as far as I’m aware none have a seat on the board and none are privy to who the club signs.

I’ve known a few players through the years and they are just like the rest of us. Thus a fair few are full of it and will tell you almost anything, especially if you appear gullible.

There is no way any of the current BOD would discuss these matters with any player no matter how senior.
