He's been very good for us, hope we can get the deal done. He also looks like he enjoys playing here too.

He has been good but so has Jowitt. For me he’s not a necessery signing and we certainly need other positions first as a priority.

What other full-back do we have if we don't sign JS?
Another FB is a necessity for me.

Only 1 full back plays in a 17. What we do need is cover but I would say Gaskell offers that cover. We have Hall/Lyne as centre next season starting. There are options.

Shaul probably won’t come cheap and I’d be tempted to look at a cover player who can cover halfs and fullback if needed (possibly promote Butterworth who I think can cover both).

I’m not saying Shaul is bad. He’s played well with us but I’m not sure it’s a necessary signing they’d all.

I do get the point but this kind of decision is what separates fighting for relegation with fighting for top 6.

When a player is injured we need to bring in someone who can also play at that level.
Personally, I like Shaul enough that he is starting no.1 over Max.
