He could possibly end up with an increased suspension if it’s a frivolous appeal.

Litten had been charged with a Grade C Dangerous Lift in the Betfred Super League fixture at Wakefield, also on August 25. His challenge against the grading was also rejected, but not found frivolous. He has also been suspended for two matches and fined £500.

What absolute nonsense. I was there and saw it first hand. I said at the time that it was a hard but fair tackle. I've also watched a re run of that tackle time and time again. I've seen nothing to change my mind on the legality of it. He was hit fair and square and landed hard but on the flat of his back. At no point was he in danger of been seriously hurt. An even more annoying thing was. I saw a replica of that tackle from a Wigan player the week after and nothing whatsoever became of it. It is these soft decisions and even more so, the inconsistencies week in week out that are ruining the game, and which are causing many fans to say they have already walked away from the game, or are seriously thinking of doing so next season. I count myself as one of those, even though I've been a league fan since I was a young boy in the 1970s and even played it at amateur level for a while.
