| We also arrived a little later than normal and had to walk round to the western terrace. The experience was pretty awful in there. Surrounded by away fans, appalling view. Without wishing to put a downer on yesterday’s win, I was seriously ****** off. Possible re-think on season ticket purchases for us.

| Quote JINJER="JINJER"I don’t really understand the plans, if I read it correctly the terracing isn’t going as far back as initially planned, are we assuming this is just cost cutting? If so I wonder how much this has saved cost wise? It just seems tiny considering the overall plan.'"
Have to agree mate.
It's not the construction method, I get that. It's where it stops. It doesn't even reach the top of the lower section of the north-west part of the stand and that I just don't get.
If it just did that it would be ok for now but as it is it's a total dogs dinner.
I don't know the budgets and construction constraints and I accept it may be all we can get but it still doesn't stop it being very disappointing.

| It's games like yesterday s that show the importance of the home support. For some reason I never thought the result would be anything other than a Wakey win.it felt great to acctualy attend a game expecting a win not hoping for one.
Great end to the seasons home games.

| In an ideal world once the East stand is done the whole northstand should be flattened and a proper stand built (obviously money is an issue)
But on the blueprint with what is already there a real 'Kop' would be the one to go at.
Flatten the whole thing - right back to the 'ginnel' and have a stand with a proper concourse underneath. Obviously blue sky thinking.
Even so future plans should be put in place to make use of the tree's area/wasteland. Level it off and have bars (shed's) selling beer and food stalls - will sure get people spending money before kick off

| Taken from the planning documents this morning: "This would see the terrace area reduced so as not to extend all the way to the back of the existing terrace. This change would also see the platform area previously proposed for food offerings removed. Through discussions with the applicants structural engineer it is understood this amendment is required for budgetary reasons and also to achieve a slightly higher seating position"
It's a shame really as the North stand is where all the atmosphere and noise is created and reducing the capacity will only make this worse. I appreciate the East stand will take priority as this will generate income outside of match days and I know the current market is volatile for all building materials but I cant help but think this is a mistake. I work as a QS so I fully understand that there are budgets to stick to and what would have cost X 6-12 months ago now costs Y but if we are planning to go back and add the additional terracing / platform area at a later date it will cost a significant amount more to re-mobilise etc.
Just a thought but I'm sure the club could be a bit more pro-active and suggest some kind of fund raiser to help generate the additional funding needed to complete the works? I'm sure there are plenty of fans who would help and the food / beverages sold on the platform would only go back into the club anyway..
At the end of the day I'll be happy with whatever we get and I for one cant wait see the main East stand complete. Up the trin!!

Why?
It's the away terrace and has no cover and a tiny capacity.
The North terrace has a much bigger capacity, has a roof, better access, it's an no brainer for me.
Also it wouldn't cost that much less with nothing in return.
Of course that's just my opinion, but you did ask.

| Enclose the back of the stand so all the noise goes towards the pitch, like the stand on Wheldon Rd.

What does the above highlighted part, mean/refer to?
Does it mean 'seating', as bums on, or seating in a technical building sense? (that I know nowt about)

| Rather than scrimp on the North Stand I'd rather they use the money to do the full spec on the East Stand. This half a job isn't really benefiting anyone.
