RIP John, a lovely guy who loved the game and alway tried to help everyone involve in it, a sad day for Wakefield Trinity and Stanley Rangers

A sad loss, we met John several times in Perpignan, as he traveled by train through France. He made a holiday out of the trip. A sad day RIP John

He certainly was.

I remember him very fondly from my days at Stanley, but we were also cricketing team mates for several years down at Newton Hill.

I intend to go down and pay my respects, and also raise a glass for him.

According to the Stanley Rangers page, it is at 10am
